Austrian short and documentary film day in Skopje (Macedonia) - presented will be selection of contemporary Austrian short and documentary films at cultural arthouse Menada on the 12th of May 2013 in the centre of Skopje. GRAZ SHORT FILM NIGHT (s) 2013 are now officially announced to take place during three (3) screening days between the 7th – 9th of February 2013 in Graz at our already traditional cinema location Filmzentrum im Rechbauerkino.

GRAZ SHORT FILM NIGHT 2013 on the 7th of February 2013 will present retrospective of newest international short film productions with special focus on Central&Eastern European countries. Following two days, the 8th and the 9th of February 2013 will be decidated to the retrospective of fresh international documentary filmaking DOKUBAZAAR 2013 with special focus on Finnish documentary productions from ELO Helsinki Film School (FIN).

All screenings are coordinated and produced by Ljubljana International Short Film Festival (SLO) and DOKUBAZAAR (SLO) as their Styria networking educational retrospective film screenings in Graz.

Short and documentary films will be screened in original languages with english subtitles.

2nd edition of BALKAN FILM BAZAAR is coming to GRAZ in November 2012. The newest edition of this reginal film initiative in Graz organized by Ljubljana International Short Film Festival (SLO) will present 23 contemporary short film productions from young. Balkan filmakers. The whole event is powered by Steiermark Kultur and Graz Kulturamt this year.

The screenings will traditionally take place at art cinema Filmzentrum im Rechbauerkino in the centre of Graz. All short films will be screened in original languages with english subtitles. Official programming is avaliable here.

GRAZ SHORT FILM NIGHT is the largest independent international short film event in Graz which is annually presenting newest contemporary short film productions (fiction, documentary, animation, experiment) from international authors and filmakers with the special focus on young Balkan and Central European film directors.  

The festival is aiming to reach wide audiences in Graz and combine its artistic, educational and multicultural dimensions.

GRAZ SHORT FILM NIGHT 2012 was established in February 2011 and May 2011 in Graz when we succesfully presented the festivals' screenings and programming to wide Graz audiences in Rechbauerkino (February 2011) and Forum StadptPark (May 2011). This international short film night aims to enlarge scale of quality educational film happenings and multicultural film screenings in Graz and in the whole region also in February 2012 with special the focus dedicated to the countries and filmakers from Central and Eastern Europe.

The 3rd edition in February 2012 will also present a special section ZOOM FINLAND dedicated to presentation and promotion of young Finnish cinema to wide Graz audiences. Eight (8) short films from young Finnish filmakers will be presented in Graz during ZOOM FINLAND. 

The screenings will take place in the art cinema FILMZENTRUM IM RECHBAUERKINO located on Rechbauerstrasse nr. 6 in the centre of Graz www.filmzentrum.com on the 6th of February 2012 from 16_00 until 24_00.

GRAZ SHORT FILM NIGHT 2012 is being organized and coordinated by DOKUBAZAAR festival (SLO) in close cooperation with Bundesministerium für europäische und internationale Angelegenheiten (BMEIA), Kulturamt Graz, Filmzentrum im Rechbauerkino, Finnish Institute in Berlin (GER) and Ljubljana International Short Film Festival (SLO).

GRAZ SHORT FILM NIGHT 2011 is a regional film initiative organized by Ljubljana International Short Film Festival (SLO) aiming to promote and present young Balkan and international filmakers to Austrian audiences in Graz. The whole event is trying to enlarge scale of short film presentations in Graz and bring the best of regional and international short filmaking to the Graz audiences. Special focus is given to young Swiss cinema. The festival is organized in close cooperation with the Swiss Embassy in Vienna (AUT), Forum Stadtpark in Graz (AUT) and DOKUBAZAAR from Ljubljana (SLO).

The festival will take place in Forum Stadtpark (Stadtpark 1) in Graz on the 25th of May 2011 between 16.00 – 24.00 when 38 short films of different styles from around 15 countries will be presented during the festivals' screenings to wide Graz audiences. All short films will be screened in digital format with English subtitles.

BALKAN FILM BAZAAR_graz is a networking film festival initiative established by Ljubljana International Short Film Festival and DOKUBAZAAR festival from Ljubljana (SLO) and is focused on presentation and promotion of Balkan short film productions and filmakers to the audiences in Graz.

BAZAAR in Graz will present more than 30 Balkan short film productions of different styles and genres (fiction, animation, documentary and experiment) to Graz audiences in art cinema RECHBAUERKINO. The whole event is trying to enlarge the scale of multicultural short film presentations in Graz and Austria generally and bring the best of Balkan short filmaking to Graz audiences.

BALKAN FILM BAZAAR will take place between the 7th and 8th of February 2011 in cinema FILMZENTRUM IM RECHBAUERKINO http://www.filmzentrum.com/ located at Rechbauerstrasse nr. 6 in the centre of Graz. Detailed festivals' programming with information on all short films will be available soon.

All screenings are free of charge.
